I remember there was a time when my happiness was based upon people and things. If the people in my life were pleasing me, I was happy. As soon as they weren’t; I was no longer happy. I was sometimes sad, angry and searching for why my happiness wouldn’t stick around. These days, I’m genuinely happy.
Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.
Nathaniel Hawthorne
Can people and things bring you happiness? Well of course they can; however, they shouldn’t define your happiness but add to your happiness. When we obtain internal happiness it doesn’t fade when life happiness. If by chance it does fade, when it does fade – because we all have our days; we’ll know exactly what to do, to find our way back in (internally) to our happy.
